Well, The portfolio for the internship is finally delivered and out of my hands. I have some snapshots of the finished product that I can upload later. I really put it all on the table with this one. I even let other projects (degree included) fall by the side. I'm hoping that the risk paid off, but even if nothing comes from it I'm glad I went for it.

In other non-portfolio non-degree related news, I've decided to keep up my layout/background practice by doing several of these quick studies from photographs. The idea is that I'll try to capture the mood of the reference image, while taking creative license on the stylization.

  2. Hi Jaime,

Not sure if you remember me, but you visited FableVision a short while ago to show us your work. I made the jump over here because I noticed you linked to the Cartoon Silhouettes post I wrote up over at the FV blog. Thanks, and great use of the exercise.

You work continues to be amazing! And it's awesome to see it getting even better. I especially like your characters, but you color and design sense are stunning. Glad you started up a blog....I'm staying tuned :)

  4. Thank all you guys so much for stopping in! It's keeping me nice and motivated to update.

    Hello again Bob!
Your article was a great deal of help when I was putting together the portfolio. It's also a really great game to play just guessing the characters...although I think it might just be that I watched way to many cartoons when I was younger :)
